Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electrical systems within industrial environments. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure across various facilities, including manufacturing plants, warehouses, and renovation sites. Duties

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage controls.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system modifications.
• Conduct diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify electrical faults efficiently.
• Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes for safety and code adherence.
• Perform routine maintenance on industrial electrical equipment and systems to prevent downtime.
• Install and connect programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation processes in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Follow electrical safety procedures diligently during all phases of installation, troubleshooting, and repair work to protect yourself and colleagues from hazards.
• Assist with construction site activities including wiring for renovations or new installations using hand tools, power tools, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation.
• Collaborate with project teams on electrical system upgrades or modifications to improve efficiency or meet new compliance standards.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections completed, and repairs made for compliance audits.

Skills

• Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in industrial electrical systems and commercial electrical systems.
• Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and adherence to local electrical codes.
• Skilled in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting complex electrical systems using advanced testing tools like ohmmeters and circuit testers.
• Proficient in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics for accurate installation or repairs.
• Experience working with high-voltage electrical wiring safely within industrial environments.
• Ability to interpret electrical blueprints and schematics accurately for installation or troubleshooting tasks.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation processes across industries.
• Strong understanding of low voltage systems used in building automation or security applications.
• Knowledge of electrical safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
• Construction site experience including renovation projects requiring framing carpentry or handyman skills is a plus.
